Dazed And Confused Stars: Parker Posey, Actress, Darla Marks Movie Role And Superman Returns

Dazed and Confused stars sure made it big after the popular blockbuster. Lines like “I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor, insignificant preamble to somethin' else” hit audiences with a bang as the Dazed and Confused stars spat them out. Coming right out of the 80's with great movies such as “Pretty in Pink” and “The Breakfast Club,” the early 90's needed to exceed the coolness of the groovy flicks. Dazed and Confused stars like Parker Posey came on to the big screen with a bang to keep this standard of entertaining movies. Parker Posey's charisma as one of the Dazed and Confused stars gave the audience great laughs and amusement.

Beginning in TV roles, Parker Posey moved her way up the acting ladder in the late 90's. After finishing school at State University of New York at Purchase, she moved on to her first TV role on “As the World Turns” as Tess Shelby. The next big appearance in her successful acting career was her movie role as one of the Dazed and Confused stars. The movie was Parker Posey's big screen debut.

Like many Dazed and Confused stars, Parker Posey made her big break with this feature movie role. Parker Posey gave the Dazed and Confused character Darla Marks a spunky attitude with a snappy, dirty mouth. Less than pleasant lines came out of this beauty's lips while she played the bully who loved to pick on lowly freshman girls. She was obviously not one of the Dazed and Confused stars who enjoyed the presence of other people. Her character maintained her hard shell throughout the entirety of the movie. Fellow Dazed and Confused stars like Ben Affleck and Adam Goldberg would undoubtedly agree that Posey played a wicked role.

As one of the Dazed and Confused stars, Parker Posey as Darla Marks vowed to make the lives of these poor freshman girls a living Hell. To start off the year, the Darla Marks manages to scare the daylights out of the freshman girls by screaming “air raid” and making them drop to the floor. The worst was when the Posey's character took the girls through a carwash in the back of a pick up truck. If the viewer thought that squirting packets of ketchup on the girls was bad, taking them to the cleaners was even worse.

Unlike her unapproachable exterior as one of the Dazed and Confused stars, Parker Posey portrayed the character of Kitty Kowalski in “Superman Returns.” The talented actress played this dramatic movie role perfectly. As the assistant to Lex Luther, the “Superman Returns” actress was beautifully dressed in elegant sophisticated clothing for her dramatized movie role.

As one of the former Dazed and Confused stars, Posey also appeared in many other movies such as “For Your Consideration,” “A Might Wind,” “Scream 3,” and “You've Got Mail.” She is also scheduled to appear in the upcoming movie entitled “The Eye.”

Parker Posey as Darla Marks successfully fulfilled the high school bully stereotype as one of the Dazed and Confused stars. Her foul mouth and evil acts of freshman terrorism certainly classifies the Dazed and Confused character as a tormentor. From her early bullying career, Posey rose to the occasion with her fantastic portrayal of Kitty Kowalski in "Superman Returns." Her maturity is apparent in her crisp acting ability.
